Itinerary suggestion
The islands that we will visit during our route will be the following :
PORQUEROLLES ISLAND :
The Porquerolles in France beaches are really the most beautiful. There are also some wonderful coves in the east side of the island. Don't miss a bike stroll in order to discover the very green island. As follows some of the beaches :
Courtade Bay
Few steps far from the main village and about 800 meters from the harbour, this beach is composed by a long strip of white sand very suitable for relaxing and swimming. This beach is very exposed to mistral and is surrounded by marine pines and eucalyptus trees which give the typical Mediterranean frangrance.
Notre Dame Bay
Situated at about 3 kilometers from the village this is known as the most beautiful beach in Porquerolles Islands with a big white sand beach incastonated between several pines trees and a clear and crystalline water.
Silver Beach
This wonderful pearly white sand beach is not far from the village in the western part of the island. the beach is surrounded by pines trees and is the most crowded as there is also a restaurant on it.
Lobster Bay
It is located in the western part of the island and is composed by two sides, the white beach and the black beach. It is also a selfish anchorage for a lot of boats and offers a intimate atmosphere.
PORT CROS ISLAND
The stop and the visit to Port Cros is strictly regulated as it is a National Marine Park. The island has about 50 inhabitants and there is a small harbour in the eastern side of the island. It is also possible to make some excursions by feet along th marked trials in order to discover the flora and fauna.
DU LEVANT ISLAND
It is a French Military Sea Domain and it is forbidden to the public. In the northern side there is a naturistic village and you can find two beaches Plage Les Grottes and Plage de Sable Levant.
