Class4o Pogo

A Class 40 racing sailing yacht, the 40 ft (12 metres) Pogo was designed for ocean sailing.

Pogo 40 was built in 2009, to a design by J. M. Finot, the father of the modern 60ft competing in the Vendée Globe, a non-stop race around the world, solo and unassisted. Class40 takes up this philosophy and is designed to work alone or in pairs.

She has a 20m carbon mast and a carbon bowsprit. The gigantic square mainsail is the engine of the boat and thanks to the stable shape of the hull and the two rudders, the boat flies easily through the waves at over 15 knots speed with peaks over 20 knots. Those are embarrassing speeds for a 12-metre yacht!

Our Pogo 40 is also a perfect yacht for sailing school and crewed regattas. The yacht is equipped with 6 berths, a stove and a refrigerator. The safety equipment is tested for offshore navigation and includes Epirb remote control, satellite and AIS-NKE gyroscope.

On 4 May 2014, Mario Girelli set a sailing record from Rome to Hammamet (355ml) in 39 hours, 24 minutes and 23 seconds aboard this high performance racing sailing yacht named Patricia II ITA86.
