Itinerary suggestion
They are of volcanic origin and still maintain unpoilt villages and wild landscapes. They have been called "The seven pearls of Mediterranes Sea". The biggest is Lipari with the most important harbour and then Panarea famous for the nightlife, Stromboli which is an active volcano, Salina, Vulcano, Filicudi and Alicudi.
It is really an experience not to be missed to sail on a comfortable charter catamaran in this paradise corner with spectacular landscapes, wonderful sea beds, deep caves, wonderful beaches and wild cliffs. Besides the pristine villages and the sympathy of the people make the Aeolian Islands a very suitable sailing destination in Italy.
AEOLIAN ISLANDS - weekly cruise
SATURDAY: boarding in the late afternoon in Lipari an island in Italy on our charter catamaran, welcome drink and accomodation in the cabins and then on skipper's suggestion all together to make the boat galley. During the evening the dinner will be in a typical restaurant.
SUNDAY: leaving early in the morning sailing to reach Canneto in Italy, famous for its beaches and the caraibic water. Lunch on board of the catamaran sailing in the afternoon towards Panarea where we will spend the night in the beautiful Cala Milazzese or Cala Zimmari. If you want you can go ashore for an aperitif in the several fashionable places that the island offers.
MONDAY : you have just to choice between Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, Basiluzzo, Spinazzola beautiful bays in Italy. We will take a bath in the warm sulphurous waters. Lunch on board of the charter catamaran and in the afternoon sail up to Stromboli, where we will spend the night. Aperitif during the sunset in the small central square and then, if the volcano is erupting, nightly sailing under the Sciara del Fuoco, one of the best attraction in Italy. Dinner on board of the charter catamaran or in one of the several restaurants in the island.
TUESDAY: Day of sailing on board of a charter catamaran from Stromboli to Santa Maria in Salina with a stop for a bath in the northern side of Panarea. You have the opportunity to buy some specialities as Malvasia, a typical wine from Italy, capers and cucunci. We will spend the evening on the tables of the famous Alfredo where we can taste the best granita in Italy.
WEDNESDAY: After a short supply of water in Rinella, we will spend the day in the Pollara Bay spectular bay in Italy, where Massimo Troisi shoot the movie Il Postino. In the first afternoon sailing on the charter catamaran to Filicudi where we will spend the night. We will go ashore and taste a very good aperitif with the specialities of the island. There is the possibility to organize a grilled fish on the large pier joining all the crews of the flottilla. We can also dance until the morning at the Yachting Club.
THURSDAY : Early in the morning we sail to the northern side of the island for a bath in the Canna a beautiful location in Italy where we can visit by swimming or with the tender the Ox Cave. In the afternoon we will sail towards Vulcano and during the sunset we will anchor in the Cala di Ponente, where we see a magnificent sunset dancing and having aperitif and dinner on the beach. If the weather won't be good we spend the night at Bartolo's pier who will prepare a grilled fish together with music on the beach.
FRIDAY : Sailing among the western coast of Vulcano with stop on charter catamaran at Venere's pools, at Punta Gelso Lighthouse, bath in the warm water in Cala Levante and the possibility to make an excursion to the great crater or some hours in the mud baths. In the afternoon we will go back to Lipari. Dinner in a typical restaurant. Evening in the village discovering the artisanal shops, the pastry shops where you can taste cannoli and granita the best you can find in Italy.
SATURDAY : Wake up in the morning on the charter catamaran, breakfast, luggage preparation and landing with 9 am.
