The itinerary of this wonderful sailing cruise will touch the following destinations :
Kithira, Eros’ island, is really fascinating, full of ancient temples, Byzantine churches, Venetian castles, caves and beaches.
Depending on the weather, we’ll sail around the island. The formula “sailing charter with crew” offers its guests a great service, so they can really enjoy a relaxing restful sailing holiday.
We sail toward the Mani region, peninsula between the two gulfs of Messinia and Laconia. It’s a barren land, with rocks, stone walls, Indian figs. The bays and headlands are torn by waves and wind. The towers of Mani, made of stone are the main characteristic of the area. We anchor by the famous Diros Caves, the best in Europe, rich in magnificent colours, stalactites and stalagmites. They create forms that seem to embrace themselves. Shore excursion to the caves, with long, flat boats guided by expert local guides for more than an hour
Short sail heading East to Elafonissi Island, in Peloponnese, spectacular beaches and wild nature, especially during this season. Swimming, fishing, sand, sunsets, octopuses cooked with red wine, fish soup and sea foodthat’s life around here
We set sail to round the famous Cape Malea and heading North we’ll sail along the East coast of Peloponnese to reach the famous rocky promontory, city-fortress of Monemvassia (15 miles). In the small port you’ll say hello to the turtles that swim there undisturbed! Excursion ashore strongly suggested dedicated to the visit of this jewel, the town of Monemvassia. Here time seems to have frozen in Middle-Age. Castles, walls, ancient buildings, little houses, narrow stone paved roads, old low arches. The area is indicated for tuna fishing enthusiasts!
